Documentary Observations

This week I've watched one of the two documentaries for the first week of documentary filmmaking. The one I've watched for that week was Last Minutes with ODEN. This documentary, spoken by Jason Woods, highlights ODEN's final moments of life as he struggles with cancer.  Last Minutes with ODEN One thing that I liked from watching this short documentary is the music used for the documentary. The music is sad and depressing and fits right with the whole mood of the documentary. Another thing that I noticed from the documentary which I liked is the smooth transition between each shot. There was no jaggedness nor anything wrong with the transitions. Also, the transitions were simple but effective.  One thing that I found after watching the documentary that I found a bit troubling was that in parts some parts of the music were a bit louder than the audio, or that the voices were a little too loud for comfort.
